محاذ
From محاذی (muhāzī, “touching, facing, opposite”) from Arabic مُحَاذٍ (muḥāḏin, “facing”, adjective), with reanalysis of its trailing ی (ī) as the ezafe, and as for the later vocalization maybe also repatterning to an Arabic noun transfix, or anticipatory vowel assimilation.
