Thursday
The Romans' 'day of Jupiter' went two ways: the Romance languages, Welsh and Breton kept Jove (jeudi, giovedì, jueves, dydd Iau), while the Germanic peoples swapped in their own thunder god, Thunor or Thor. Spanish took jueves to the Philippines and French took jeudi to Haiti.
