tarragon
Europe learned the herb tarragon from Arabic medicine as ṭarḵūn, usually traced to Greek drakóntion, 'dragon plant', though that link is uncertain; its name reached English in the 1530s. French estragon carried it to German and Russian, while Georgian tarkhuna gave the Soviet Union its bright green Tarkhun soda.
