Esther

Esther, the Jewish queen of Persia, has a name that is not Hebrew. It is either Persian 'star', a distant cousin of English star, or the Babylonian goddess Ishtar, and scholars are split. Her Hebrew name in the story is Hadassah, 'myrtle'; the Bible spread Esther to Ethiopia as Aster, to Hungary as Eszter and to Russia as Yesfir.
