barge

Herodotus describes the Nile cargo boats called báris; the word is Egyptian bꜣjr, still Coptic baare. Late Latin barca (via *barica) gave Romance, Irish, Dutch and Russian their words for boat, Old French barge gave English barge, and Italian barca came back to English a second time as bark or barque.
