agenda
Agenda is a Latin plural, 'things that must be done', from agere 'to do'. English used it first for religious duties and from the 1880s for a list of business at a meeting; most of Europe and Turkey use it for a pocket diary, and Japan, Israel and the Arab world borrowed the political 'agenda'.
