ḥ-y-y “to live”
Hebrew ḥayyîm 'life' is in the toast lə-ḥayyîm, 'to life!', and the participle məḥayyeh 'reviving', the prayer's word for God 'who revives the dead', became Yiddish mekhaye, a real pleasure. Eve, Ḥawwāh, is linked to 'living' only by Genesis itself.
